opinions from parents/Kids
Our two children take Jiu jitsu classes with babies and kids. The teachers are great and the atmosphere is friendly. I recommend to everyone around me. It's a great sport for kids in a great club.
Since he has been practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu there, our son is more fulfilled mentally and physically. He is a discreet child, even a little reserved, whom the kindness of the teachers combined with the discipline of this marvelous art, pushed to assert himself while keeping his empathy and his unfailing good humor. There he learns self-transcendence, perseverance and that benevolence is a strength. Thanks to the entire Phoenix ADA team for this!
Mathis started jiu-jitsu by chance, coached by Joël and adopted by Émilie who never let go. He had doubts, a lot of frustration and some discouragement but he also and above all learned to accept the trials, the defeats, and to continue to progress, to think, to anticipate the adversaries. Jiu-jitsu channels much of his anger and Joël is a coach who invests beyond the tatami mats, his advice and support are precious allies. But I am very grateful to Joël, the coaches for everything you do for Mathis. Thanks.
We could not have imagined a better dojo and team for our 5 year old daughter. She is a real thunderstorm-riding-tornado who needed an activity that was not only physical, but that could also bring her some discipline of body and mind. The kindness of the teachers and older students —a nod to Émilie, Inès and Sania—, pushes her to progress with each session, while continuing to have fun as every child should. She's blossoming at Phoenix and we couldn't recommend a better place for her. The proof is every Saturday when she gets up her first word is: Jiu Jitsu! And on a more down to earth note, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the perfect martial art for young girls and women. Thanks to all of you!
